5. Tow your vehicle with the
front wheels off the ground.
NOTICE
Do not tow with sling-type
equipment.
Use wheel-lift or car-carrier
equipment to tow your vehicle.
EMERGENCY TOWING
If towing service is not available in
an emergency, the vehicle may be
towed temporarily by securing a
cable to one of the emergency
towing eyes under the vehicle.
Section 5
Front Towing Eyes
The front towing eyes are
provided under the front bumper.
A driver must be in the vehicle to
steer it and operate the brakes.
Towing in this manner may be
done only on hard-surfaced roads
for a short distance and at low
speeds. Also, the wheels, axles,
drive train, steering and brakes
must be in good condition.
