To check and adjust tyre
pressure:
For tyre pressure inspection,
the use of a quality pocket tyre
pressure gauge is recommended.
You'll get the best readings when
the tyres are cold.
Remove the valve cap from the tyre
valve stem.
Press the tyre gauge firmly onto
the valve to get a pressure
measurement.
If the pressure is low, add air until
you reach the recommended
pressure.
Recheck the tyre pressure.
Be sure to put the valve caps back
on the valve stems. They help
prevent leaks by keeping out dirt
and moisture.

Inspection and Rotation

Normally, the front tyres will wear
faster than rear tyres. To avoid
uneven tread wear, rotate the
tyres.
Check your tyres and wheels
regularly for unusual wear or
damage.
See "Tyre Replacement" later in this
section for additional information.
Section 4
To make your tyres last longer,
have them inspected and rotated
at the mileages recommended in
your Maintenance Schedule.
Follow the diagram above for the
correct rotation pattern.
Make sure the wheel nuts are
properly tightened.
