CAUTION
When an air bag inflates, it
leaves dust in the air. This
dust could cause breathing
problems for people with a
history of asthma or other
breathing trouble. To avoid
this, everyone in the vehicle
should get out as soon as it is
safe to do so. If you are unable
to get out of the vehicle, then
open a window or door.
If you experience breathing
problems following air bag
deployment, you should seek
medical attention.
You may notice a burning
smell, smoke, and white
powder in the interior of the
vehicle. This is normal.
Although they may cause some
skin or eye irritation, these
substances are not toxic.
CAUTION
The air bag only inflates once.
It must be replaced after a
collision. Let only qualified
technicians work on the air bag
system.
NOTICE
Do not damage the air bag
covers.
If an air bag cover is damaged,
you may have to replace the air
bag module or both the
module and the air bag cover.
Section 2
CAUTION
Do not drive your vehicle after
one or more air bags have
deployed.
Do not try to repair, alter,
replace, or dispose of the air
bag yourself.
To avoid injury, do not modify
air bag components.
Be sure that you or the person
performing work is qualified
and follows proper procedures.
