Clutch Pedal Free Play
• 1.2 DOHC Engine
There is no clutch pedal free
play. See your dealer if there is
any clutch pedal free play.
• 1.4 DOHC/1.5 SOHC/1.6
DOHC Engines
Clutch pedal free play must be
6-12 mm.

To check the clutch pedal free
play, turn the engine off and press
the clutch pedal by hand. Measure
the distance the pedal moves until
there is a slight resistance.
See your dealer if the clutch pedal
free play differs from the norm.
The clutch pedal or linkage needs
to be adjusted.

■ VEHICLE PARKING

NOTICE
Things that can burn can touch
hot exhaust parts under your
vehicle and ignite. Don't park
over papers, leaves, dry grass or
other things that can burn.
CAUTION
To prevent your parked vehicle
from moving accidentally, do
not leave the front wheels in a
straight ahead position when
parking on a hill.
If the vehicle is facing downhill,
turn the wheels away from the
road. If it is facing uphill, turn
the wheels toward the road.
