I-FLEX
(only in modes CPAP and APAP)
Inhaling under therapy pressure is always more diffi cult as the lungs are already
partly fi lled and thus also pre stressed. Such additional stress from therapy can be
reduced by means of a personalized I-FLEX setting. FLEX settings will only work
if spontaneous respiration is actually present. FLEXLINE is not a form of artifi cial
respiration, but merely a way of supporting the respiratory effort of the patient.
