is adequately stabilized before extending a component from the rack.
WARNING: To reduce the risk of personal injury, be careful when pressing the server
rail-release latches and sliding the server into the rack. The sliding rails could pinch your
fingers.
Do one of the following:

In a server that uses thumbscrew rack ears, loosen the captive thumbscrews that secure the

server faceplate to the front of the rack, and then slide the server out of the rack.
In a server that uses quick-release latch rack ears:
o
Open the latches on both sides of the server.
i.
If necessary, use a T-25 Torx screwdriver to loosen the shipping screws.
ii.
Slide the server out of the rack.
