Inrush currents

Two power events can cause large inrush currents from the 
host supply to the module on the power pins:
Figure 2‐4 and Figure 2‐5 show the inrush models for the 
MC57xx and MC87xx. Application of the host's power supply 
typically occurs when the switch is open; 
floating (high impedance) when the switch is closed.

The module sends a CnS notification (Return Radio 
Temperature—0x0008) to the host indicating that it is now 
in low power mode.
The host has the option, at this point, of driving 
low (forcing the module to power off) to prevent damage 
to the unit.
Application of the host's power supply
