Configuring the Prisma II bdr Transmit Processor Using the ICIM

Configurable Parameters
Configurable parameters for this module include the following.
Parameter
Clk_Src
NoiseSup
RednMode
Laser1
Laser2
RFDriveA
RFDriveB
3-20
Function
Indpend = The transmitter generates the
clock signal but does not send it outside the
module.
Master mode = The transmitter generates
its own clock signal and sends it out.
Slave mode = Uses the clock input supplied
from the backplane, typically from another
transmitter in Master mode. If the clock is
not present clock alarms are generated.
Controls whether the noise suppression is
On or Off.
Redundant mode. When set to Yes the
module will generate an alarm if either
OSM is removed.
Controls whether transmitter sub-module 1
(top) is enabled or disabled. If Disable, the
laser for this transmitter will be forced off.
If Enable, this control will allow the laser to
come on but will not override any
safeguards built into the transmitter that
prevent the laser from turning on (e.g.,
when the wavelength would be out of
specification).
Controls whether transmitter sub-module 2
(bottom) is enabled or disabled. If Disable,
the laser for this transmitter will be forced
off. If Enable, this control will allow the
laser to come on but will not override any
safeguards built into the transmitter that
prevent the laser from turning on (e.g.,when
the wavelength would be out of
specification).
Sets the amount of RF attenuation for
channel A.
Sets the amount of RF attenuation for
channel B.
