Primary Drive Gear Removal - Honda XR80R Service Manual

CLUTCH/ GEARSHIFT LINKAGE
Install t he clutch spr ings and li fter plate.
InSTall and t ighten the lifter plaTe bolts.
NOTE
Tighten the titter plate bo lts in a cri sscross pattern
in 2-3 steps.
Install the lifter p late bear ing and c tutch lifter pin .
Install the righ t cran kcase cove r (page 9-12)

REMOVAL
Remolle the rig ht cran kcase Calle r (page 9-3).
Remove the o il pump (page4·2).
Remove the o il th rough and sp ring from t he
cran ksh aft.
Attach the gear holder between the pr im ary d rive
and driven gear as shown.
TOOL:
Gear holder
Re m ove t he lock nut
Remove t he fo ll owing:
- Oil Through d ri ve pin
- W asher
- Primary drive gear
