Accu-Gold
Legacy Sensors
The Accu-Gold+ family of products offer a number of enhancements over the Accu-Gold products they
replace. These include:
•
Support for the AGDM+ multi-sensors providing simultaneous support for diagnostic and
mammographic measurements.
•
Improved sensitivity at lower dose rates consistent with the industry trend as imaging systems
require less radiation to form excellent imagery.
Compatibility
The Accu-Gold+ digitizer is designed to be fully compatible with both the original family of Accu-Gold
sensors (legacy) and the newer Accu-Gold+ sensors. As such it is a suitable replacement for the
original Accu-Gold digitizer in the vast majority of applications.
Note:
In order to obtain improved sensitivity at lower dose rates the ability to operate at rarely
encountered very high dose rates (> 350mGy/s) was compromised.
For all other applications, the Accu-Gold+ family of digitizers (Accu-Gold+, Rapid-Gold+, and Accu-
Dose+) are a direct replacement for the original Accu-Gold digitizers (Accu-Gold and Rapid-Gold) and
operate within the appropriate specifications for those systems.
