5.4 Video Timing Parameters
The SM731 must be programmed to generate the proper video timing for
the hardware configuration and display format. Rastergraf' SDL Graphics
Package accepts display format (e.g., 1600 x 1200, 32 bpp) and refresh
requirements (e.g., 67 Hz vertical refresh) as parameters to a function call.
The software then provides (and loads) a best-fit timing profile for the
SM731 graphics chip.
Does your Display have a Green Cast to it?
By default, the graphics board supplies video in separate (five wire video
RGBHV) video format. If you hook the board up to a multiscan monitor
with a regular VGA cable then you will be giving RGBHV to the monitor.
Be sure to not select sync-on-green or you will get a green cast to the
image.
