Value status of the digital outputs (QDQx)
The value status is set to "good" when the process value is output. The value status is set to
"bad" in the following cases:
● The process value cannot be output as a result of an error
● CPU is in STOP
● Failure of communication between the interface module and CPU
● The digital output is disabled or configured as the sensor supply for the corresponding input
Value status of the digital inputs (QDIx)
The value status is set to "good" when the process value can be acquired without errors. The
value status is set to "bad" in the following cases:
● The process value cannot be acquired as a result of an error
● The digital input is disabled
● The input is configured as an analog input
Value status of the analog inputs (QAIx)
Basically, the value status is set to "good" when the analog value can be acquired without
error. The value status is set to "bad" in the following cases:
● The analog value cannot be acquired as a result of an error
● The analog input is disabled
● The input is configured as a digital input
Evaluating HART variables
If you assign (map) HART variables using the parameter assignment dialog, 8 HART variables
with 5 bytes each are always created in the input address space.
Each HART variable consists of a 4-byte real value and one byte of quality code. The quality
code describes the validity of the value; see HART variables (page 29).
The assigned HART variables are automatically updated by the module and can be used as
they are in the user program.
Evaluating multiHART ranges
If you select the multiHART ranges with the parameter assignment dialog, 1 or 4 multiHART
ranges are created.
A multiHART range occupies 1 byte (command) in the output area and 6 bytes (1 byte
acknowledgment + 5 bytes HART variable) in the input area.
You can read all HART variables available in the module over each multiHART range. To do
so, request a HART variable from the module using the command byte in the output area.
