Fifteen remote status inputs are provided through the
nector to enable remote sensors to be monitored and reported to the NOC.
Opto-isolators are used to monitor the opening and closing of dry contact
relays in devices that can report their own operational status. An input and
common connection is provided for each opto-isolator. An example of a
remote sensor would be a door sensor that indicates whether the door is
open or closed as shown in Figure 2-8.
