USPS regulations require that your meter must be set at least
once every three months. The IJ 70 meter has an internal timer that
tracks your reset activity. After three months without adding
postage, a PO LOCKOUT message is displayed and can be
cleared by performing a Clear Lockout transaction.
If you wish to avoid a PO LOCKOUT, you can perform an AUDIT
transaction any time prior to the timer expiration.
