Installing a saw blade

CAUTION.
Always ensure that the saw is switched off and
the battery is removed before making any adjustments.
Wear work gloves when replacing a blade.
1. Loosen the blade clamp (3) by depressing the clamp
lever (4). This will allow the saw blade to be inserted.
2. Whilst holding the blade clamp down, line up and insert
the new saw blade.
3. When the blade is FULLY inserted, release the blade
clamp lever to lock the saw blade in position. The blade
should be orientated so the blade is as per the pic above.
4. Pull on the blade to ensure it is securely fastened.
WARNING.
Make sure that the blade is securely fastened
before starting the saw.
Failure to do so may result in serious injury.

Switching on and off

1. Attach the battery pack.
2. To start the saw, press the lock-off button downward (2)
and squeeze the trigger switch (1).
There is no need to keep the lock-off button depressed
once the saw has started. However, if the trigger switch
is released, the lock-off button will re-engage as a safety
precaution to prevent accidental operation.
3. In order to restart the saw, both the lock-off button and
the trigger switch must be pressed again.
4. To stop the saw, release the trigger switch (1).

General cutting

Always wear eye protection when using the saw.
Always consider the material being cut and wear a dust
mask and hearing protection.
1. Hold the saw firmly with two hands, by the front and rear
handles.
2. Make sure that the blade is clear of any obstruction and
that any extension cords, pipes or cables are out of the
path of the blade.
3. Ensure that the material to be cut is held firmly. Small
work pieces should be held in a vice or clamped to the
workbench.
4. Mark out the cutting line.
5. Press the lock-off button and squeeze the trigger.
6. Wait until the saw has reached maximum speed.
7. Place the shoe on the work piece and begin sawing.
8 When sawing, always hold the shoe firmly against the
work piece.
9 do not attempt to cut blind cuts. These are cuts where the
blade does not protrude through the work being cut. This
can cause the saw to kick back, and cause injury.
10. If removing the saw from the cutting slot, ALWAYS stop
the saw before removing the saw from the cut.
NOTE.
Use only enough pressure to keep the saw cutting.
Do not force the cutting; allow the blade and the saw to do
the work.
WARNING.
Use of excessive pressure that causes bending
or twisting of the blade may cause the blade to break.
