Unpacking

Due to modern mass production techniques, it is unlikely
that your 909 Power Tool is faulty or that a part is missing.
If you find anything wrong, do not operate the tool until the
parts have been replaced or the fault has been rectified.
Failure to do so could result in serious personal injury.

Switching on and off

1. With the cordset fitted to
a power outlet, switch the
scraper on by sliding the
switch forward.
2. To turn off the scraper slide
the switch right back to the
OFF position.

Adjusting the speed

The speed can be adjusted to
suit the material being scrapped.
To adjust the speed, move the
switch forward until you are
satisfied that the speed is what
you need for the job in hand.
Attaching a scraper/
blade
WARNING.
Remove the plug from the socket before
carrying out any adjustment, servicing or maintenance.
WARNING.
Never use the scraper unless a scraper/blade is
fitted into the blade/tool holder (5) and locked into place by
the blade/tool lock switch (4).
WARNING.
Be careful of the sharp edges of the scrapers/
blades, as they could cause injury.
1. Select a tool attachment (scraper/blade) that is most
suited to the task at hand.
2. Press the tool lock (4) backwards into the
"Unlock" position.
3. Push the selected tool
attachment into the tool
holder location (5) until it
reaches a stop.
4. Lock the tool attachment
(scraper/blade) in place by
pressing the tool lock (4)
forwards into the "Lock"
position. Ensure that the tool
attachment has been securely
fitted before turning the
machine on.
Note.
Make sure you fit the tool
the right way round. The inside of
the curve on the shank / working
edge of the tool attachment must
point downwards.
WARNING.
Do not continue to
use the machine with a
worn or damaged tool attachment (scraper/blade).

Using the scraper

The scraper is ideal for the removal of paint, adhesives
and silicone products and is the perfect tool to use when
preparing surfaces for painting. This item is a fantastic
universal tool that can be used on many surfaces including
wood, plaster board, Gyprock, weather boards, masonry,
wood, plastic, metal and most painted surfaces. It is the
ideal tool to use when removing remains of paint, fillers
(gap fillers, plaster fillers, putty etc). It also doubles as a
handy carving tool to use on soft timbers.
This scraper is a handy size and allows you to get into
tight corners.
