Precautions
Cleanmg
the LCD screen
Wipe the screen surface wtth a cleamng
cloth (not supplied) or a LCD cleanmg ktt
(not supplied)
to remove tingerprmts,
dust,
etc.
Cleanmg
the camera
surface
Clean the camera surface wtth a soft cloth
slightly motstened wnb water, then wtpe the
surface dry. Do not use any type of solvent
such as thmner, alcohol or benune as ths
may damage the timsh or the casing.
After
usmg
your
camera
at the
seashore
or other
dusty
locations
Clean your camera carefully.
Otherwise,
the
salty an- may corrode
the metal fittmgs or
dust may enter the mstde of your camera,
causmg a malfunction.
Your camera IS destgned for use between the
temperatures
of 0°C and 40°C (32°F and
104°F). Recording
m extremely
cold or hot
places that exceed thrs range is not
recommended.
If the camera 1s brought directly
from a cold
to a warm locatton, or 1s placed in a very
damp room, motsture may condense mstde
or outside the camera. Should thrs occur, the
camera will not operate properly.
Moisture
condensation
occurs
easily
when:
l
The camera IS brought from a cold location
such as a skt slope mto a warmly
heated
room.
l
The camera is taken from an atr-
condittoned
room or car mtenor to the hot
outdoors,
etc.
How
to prevent
moisture
condensation
When bnngmg the camera from a cold place
to a warm place, seal the camera m a plasttc
bag and allow tt to adapt to conditions
at the
new location over a penod of trme (about an
hour).
If moisture
condensation
occurs
Turn off the camera and watt about an hour
for the motsture to evaporate. Note that if
you attempt to record with motsture
rematmng
mstde the lens, you will be unable
to record clear images.

Unplug the unit from the wall outlet
(mams) when you are not usmg the umt for
a long time.
l
To disconnect
the power cord (mams lead),
pull n out by the plug. Never pull the
power cord (mams lead) itself.
l
Do not operate the umt with a damaged
cord (mams lead) or if the unit has been
dropped or damaged.
l
Do not bend the power cord (mams lead)
forcibly,
or place a heavy object on It. Thts
will damage the cord (mams lead) and may
cause fire or electrical
shock.
l
Prevent metallic objects from commg
into
contact with the metal parts of the
connectmg
sectton. If thts happens, a short

may occur and the umt may be damaged.

Always
keep metal contacts clean.
l
Do not disassemble
the umt.

Do not apply mechanical
shock or drop the

umt.

While the umt 1s m use, parttcularly
durmg
charging,
keep rt away from AM receivers
