Before connectmg your camera to your personal computer, install the USB drrver to
the computer. The USB drtver IS included with the applicatton software m the CD-
ROM whrch 1s supplied with your camera.
Be sure to complete mstallation of the USB driver before connecting the
USB cable. If you connect the USB cable first, you will be unable to
Install the USB driver properly.
See page 88 for correctrve measures if the USB cable was connected before mstalling
the drtver and the driver software could not be mstalled correctly.
For Windows 99/98SE/Me and Windows 2900 users
@ Turn on your personal computer and allow Windows to load.
Do not connect the USB cable m thrs step.

0 Insert the supplied CD-ROM m the CD-ROM dnve of your personal 8
computer.

The application software screen appears.
0 Click "USB Driver Installation for Windows 98/98SE/Me and
Windows 2898".
USB driver mstallatton starts.
0 Follow the on-screen messages to mstall the USB driver.
Your personal computer may restart.
@ Connect the USB jack (mmr-B) on your camera with the USB

0 Insert a "Memory Stick" into your camera, connect the AC power
adaptor and turn on your camera.
"USB MODE" appears on the LCD screen of your camera and the camera 1s set
to commumcatton standby mode. Your personal computer recogntzes the
camera, and the Windows Add Hardware Wizard starts.
