SCAN OPERATION

■ Setting tag channels

For more effcent scannng, add desred channels as tag
channels or clear the tag for unwanted channels.
Non-tag channels wll be skpped durng scannng. Tag chan-
nels can be assgned to each channel group (INT, USA*
ATIS* 2 ) ndependently.
q Select the desred channel group (INT, USA*
pushng [DIAL] for 1 sec., f desred.
* 1 U.K. verson only, *
w Select the desred channel to set as a tag channel.
e Push both [Y] and [Z] for 1 sec. to set the dsplayed
channel as a tag channel.
• " " appears n the functon dsplay.
r To cancel the tag channel settng, push both [Y] and [Z]
for 1 sec.
• " " dsappears.
✔ Clearing all tag channels in the selected channel group
Whle pushng and holdng both [Y] and [Z], turn power ON
to clear all tag channels n the channel group.

Set the prorty scan functon, scan resume tmer and auto
scan functon n advance, usng the SET mode. (p. 17)

• When a sgnal s receved, scan pauses untl the sgnal dsap-
pears or resumes after pausng 5 sec. accordng to scan resume
tmer settng. (Channel 16 s stll montored durng prorty scan.)
• Push [Y]/[Z] to check the scannng tag channels, change the
scannng drecton or resume the scan manually.
e To stop the scan, push [SCAN•
• "SCAN" dsappears.
• Pushng [PTT], [16•
Scan starts.
