LAND (PMR) CHANNEL OPERATION

■ LAND (PMR) channel group

A max. of 100 PMR channels (allocated 146.000 to 174.000
MHz) can be programmed nto the LAND channel group for
smple communcaton wth PMR transcevers n the VHF
band.
Moreover, any of the marne channels n the USA*
ATIS*

channel groups can be programmed.
The default settng of the LAND channel group s the same
as that of the INT channel group. Ask your local Icom dealer
for the LAND channel group settng and PMR frequency pro-
grammng detals.

NOTE: The default settngs (e.g. call channel program-
mng) of the LAND channel group are same as the Interna-
tonal and U.S.A. channels. Refer to the approprate pages
for detals.

■ CTCSS and DTCS display
When DTCS or CTCSS s set n the selected channel, the
sub channel readout dsplays as below.

■ VOX function

The VOX functon (voce operated transmsson) starts trans-
msson wthout pushng [PTT] when you speak nto the
mcrophone; then automatcally returns to receve when you
stop speakng (hands-free operaton becomes possble).
NOTE: An optonal headset and headset adapter s re-
qured for the VOX operaton.
➥ Push and hold [SQL•
the VOX functon ON/OFF whle connectng the optonal
headset and headset adapter to [MIC/SP] connector.
• "VOX" appears on the LCD whle the VOX functon turns ON.
• The "VOX gan" and "VOX delay" can be set n the SET mode.
