Troubleshooting
Problem
Detailed data is not
downloaded.
Detailed data available, but
flow data is not available.
Flow data has disappeared
from an existing session.
Port displayed as unavailable. Potential conflict between
While ResScan is running,
other non-ResMed
applications are unable to
access devices connected via
COM ports.

Possible Cause
Detailed data was not selected
to be downloaded.
SD card was not inserted during
therapy.
High rate data was not selected
to be downloaded.
High rate data is older than the
limit supported by your device.
Earlier sessions of high rate data
are automatically deleted. Refer
to the therapy device Data
Management Guide to learn
about the correct limit.
A duplicate downloaded session
that does not contain flow data
has overwritten the existing
session.
ResScan and other software
applications/drivers that are also
monitoring COM port activity.
Potential conflict between
ResScan and other software
applications/drivers trying to
access the same COM ports.
Solution
When downloading using QuickStart, tick the
Select Data Type to Download checkbox.
Once Create Report/View Data is clicked,
select All Summary data and... and select
"All" from the drop down menu (see "Quick Start"
(see page 10)).
When downloading manually, click the Select
button on the Data row.
Select All Summary data and... and select
"All" from the menu (see "Download Procedure"
(see page 15)).
Insert SD card into S9 before starting therapy.
When downloading, tick the Include equivalent
number of high rate data sessions (if
available) checkbox.
You can tick the Set these as my default
options checkbox to save this setting.
No action required.

that do not have flow data.

Exclude COM ports that have non-ResMed
devices connected from ResScan's search list. To
exclude ports, go to Tools > Options >
Download.
