Problem
ResScan Data Card is
detected as shown on the
'Device' box in the 'Download
Data' dialog, but cannot
download successfully.
Connection error during
download. Error dialog is
displayed.
SmartMedia Card, Data Card,
SD Card, or ResMed USB
stick not recognized by
ResScan.
Can't read ResScan Data
Card, SmartMedia Card, SD
Card, or ResMed USB stick.
Data downloaded from a
ResScan Data Card,
SmartMedia Card, SD Card,
or ResMed USB stick does
not correspond to expected
usage.
Possible Cause
ResScan Data Card reader not
plugged in correctly
ResScan Data Card is not
inserted into the card reader
correctly.
ResScan Data Card does not
contain data from a ResMed
therapy device.
ResScan Data Card does not
contain data from a ResMed
therapy device.
Data on the ResScan Data Card
is corrupted.
Therapy device switched off.
Data cable not connected
correctly.
Wrong data cable connected.
Multiple devices such as the
SmartMedia Card, Data Card, SD
Card or ResMed USB stick are
connected to the computer at the
same time.
Card or ResMed USB stick
removed while being accessed
by ResScan.
Data was not fully transferred to
the ResScan Data Card,
SmartMedia Card, SD Card, or
ResMed USB stick from the
therapy device.
Solution
Re-insert the ResScan Card reader into the
computer. Check that the card reader has been
inserted the right way.
Re-insert the ResScan Data Card. Check that the
card has been inserted the right way with the
gold contacts facing up and that it is placed in as
far as possible into the card reader.
If you require further guidance, please contact
ResMed.
Check that the ResScan Data Card has been used
with a ResMed therapy device.
Check that the ResScan Data Card has been used
with a ResMed therapy device.
The card may be damaged. You may try to
re-collect data. Contact ResMed for Guidance.
Switch unit on, wait a few seconds for it to
perform its self-test. Then, try to download
again.
Connect the data cable correctly (see
"Connecting the therapy device to the computer"
(see page 16)).
Use only the correct cable for your therapy
device.
Unplug the ResScan Data Card reader.
Wait a few seconds and check the SmartMedia
Card, SD Card, or ResMed USB stick is
accessible.
Plug the ResScan Data Card reader back in.
Check the SmartMedia Card, SD Card, or
ResMed USB stick is still accessible.
Restart computer to regain access to data card
reader or ResMed USB stick.
Note: Do not remove card when the card
reader's activity light is on.
Collect data again or instruct the patient to
collect data again. Refer to the therapy device
Clinician's Manual for the correct use of the
ResScan Data Card.
