Problem
The SmartMedia Card is
inserted into the SmartMedia
Card reader but the 'device'
box in the 'Download Data'
dialog box is empty.
SmartMedia Card is detected
as shown on the 'Device' box
in the 'Download Data'
dialog, but cannot download
successfully.
The SD Card is inserted into
the SD Card reader but the
'device' box in the 'Download
Data' dialog box is empty.
Possible Cause
The device is not supported.
Driver for SmartMedia Card
reader is not installed.
SmartMedia Card reader not
plugged in correctly
SmartMedia Card is not inserted
into the card reader correctly.
SmartMedia Card does not
contain data from a ResMed
therapy device.
Data on the SmartMedia Card is
corrupted.
Driver for SD Card reader is not
installed.
SD Card reader not plugged in
correctly
SD Card is not inserted into the
card reader correctly.
SD Card does not contain data
from a ResMed therapy device.
Solution
The connected device is not supported by this
version of ResScan. Please refer to
http://www.resmed.com/resscan/compatibility
for further details.
Install the correct driver software and try again.
Note: If you are using one of the ResMed
recommended readers, the driver software
can be found on the ResScan installation
CD.
Re-insert the SmartMedia Card reader into the
computer. Check that the card reader has been
inserted the right way.
Re-insert the SmartMedia Card. Check that the
card has been inserted the right way and that it
is placed in as far as possible within the card
reader.
If you require further guidance, please contact
ResMed.
Check that the SmartMedia Card has been used
with ResLink and a ResMed therapy device.
Check if you can open the files on the
SmartMedia Card from Windows Explorer. If not,
the card may be damaged. You may try to collect
data again, but note that it is possible that a
significant amount of data may have been
permanently lost. Contact ResMed for guidance.
