Changing DVD Regional Codes
Go to the Control Panel in WindowsXP/Windows 2000 and double-click System > Hardware (tab), click Device Manager, then
click the + next to DVD/CD-ROM drives. Double-click on the DVD-ROM device to bring up the Properties menu, and select
the DVD Region (tab) to bring up the control panel.

PC Card Slot
The computer is equipped with a PCMCIA 3.3V/5V slot for one type II PC Card. Make sure you install the driver for the PC
Card.
Inserting and Removing PC Cards
• Align the PC Card with the slot and push it in until it locks into place.
• To remove a PC Card, simply press the eject button (1) next to the slot.
Conserving Battery Power
To conserve battery power remove any unused PC Cards from the computer (PC Cards quickly use
up battery power even if the system enters sleep mode).
The Keyboard
Function Keys
On the bottom-left of the keyboard is the Fn key or Function key. The Fn key allows you to change operational features
instantly. To use the functions press and hold the Fn key, then press the appropriate function key (F3 - F9 etc.) located on your
keyboard.
