Disassembly of the control panel ASSY

1) Place the control panel ASSY upside down. Pull the two "X" latches outwards to release the
front edge of the control panel PCB and remove it to the front.
2) Unlock the connector on the control panel PCB and disconnect the LCD flat cable.
3) Remove the rubber keypad.
4) Press the two "Y" latches inwards to release the scanner open sensor actuator. The actuator
spring also comes off.
5) Remove the microphone from the control panel.
6) Pull the locking arms outwards and take out the LCD while pulling the LCD flat cable gently.

Reassembling Notes
• Before setting the LCD back to the control panel, wipe fingerprints or dust off the LCD surface
and control panel window with a soft cloth.
• A new LCD is covered with a protection sheet. Before setting it, remove the protection sheet.
• When setting the control panel ASSY back to the scanner cover, pass the panel-main harness
through the square opening provided in the scanner cover (see the illustration on the previous
page.)
