Each parameter input value can be increased or decreased within a limited range depending on the
program type. In Manual settings program every parameter can be set within their whole range. The
available parameters and their whole range are the following:
Program time: The time of the training in minutes. If the program time elapses the
stimulation stops and the training ends. It can be set between 3-45 minutes.
Impulse length: This parameter gives the length of impulse interval of the alternating
impulse and break periods in seconds. It can be set between 1-10 seconds.
Impulse pause: This parameter gives the length of a break between two impulse intervals. It
can be set between 0-10 seconds. Note: Setting the break to 0 means continuous impulse.
Impulse frequency: This parameter gives the frequency of the stimulating current in Hertz
(impulses/second). It can be set between 1-100 Hertz. The assured frequency of the
stimulation on the electrodes is within a 5% threshold of the preset value.
Impulse depth: This parameter gives the physical length of one impulse in microseconds. It
can be set between 50-400 microseconds. The assured impulse depth of the stimulation on
the electrodes is also within a 5% threshold of the preset value.
Impulse amplification: This parameter generates initiative impulses for the client, thus the
preset load values (intensities) are reached smoothly. The target intensity is reached in the
number of seconds given by this parameter. It can be set between 0.0-1.1 seconds.
In manual program a high intensity, higher frequency continuous stimulation can cause serious
tetany for the client. Therefore higher frequency stimulation (above 10 Hz) with continuous impulse
is only allowed after confirmation. In order to get the attention of the trainer for the possible risks a
warning dialog window is displayed, if the frequency is above 10Hz and the trainer is trying to set
continuous impulse, as it can be seen below.
