The "Measurement definitions" menu item can be used to
define differently shaped measuring objects (AOI, areas
of interest). The thermal imager supports the
simultaneous display of 8 different measurement regions
(global and 7 partial AOIs), which the local spot
temperature values can also be displayed for in each
case, along with the average value.
The following shapes of the measuring objects can be
selected:
point (P)
line (L)
polygon line (PL)
rectangle (R)

In order to create a new AOI, you must initially open the
"Editor" submenu and select the required format of the
measuring object at "New".
Measuring point P
The shape of the AOI and the index of the measuring
object active in each case are displayed in the left top of
the editor menu.
A measuring point is initially created in the center of the
image and can be moved in the image area by using the
joystick
. The "active" point is identified with a red
square in crosshairs as well as an identifier shaded in
gray. After the position of the point is reached, exit the
editor by pushing the  button: Thereafter, the red mark
on the point is no longer visible.
While the measuring objects are being moved,
the measured value is not updated.
