Checking the spark advance

The ignition advance is electronically determined
based on the parameters known by the control
unit. This is why it is not possible to measure the
reference values based on the engine rpm. The
ignition advance value is detectable at any time
using the diagnostic tester. It is possible to check
whether the ignition advance determined by the
injection system matches the value actually acti-
vated on the engine, by means of the stroboscopic
light.
