Cisco 12404 Internet router field replaceable units (FRUs) offer the online
insertion and removal capability, which means an FRU is hot swappable and can
be removed and replaced while the system is operating without presenting an
electrical hazard or damage to the system.
The following FRUs are hot swappable:
• Line cards
Fan tray assembly

AC PEM (when redundant modules are installed)
