28. Reconnect all cables to the enclosure, including the power cables.
29. When the enclosure has completed its power-on sequence, check all enclosure status LEDs to ensure
that the enclosure is operating properly.

Removing and replacing an enclosure

This operation is required before the user can carry out a number of the other tasks described in this chapter.
Procedure
1.
Power down the HPE StoreOnce 5100 System.
2.
Disconnect all cables from the enclosure, including the power cables.
3.
Depending upon the maintenance task, it may be necessary to carry out some of the following tasks:
a. Remove all the disk drives. Make sure that all disks are labeled before removing them to ensure they
can be reinstalled in the proper enclosure bays.
b. Remove the power supplies.
c. Remove the I/O module.
d. Remove the fan modules.
4.
Loosen the captive screws behind the latch on the front left and right bezel ears of the chassis (1)
5.
Loosen the rear hold-down bracket.
6.
Slide the enclosure out of the rack (2) and set it on a secure surface.
WARNING:
Always use at least two people to lift an enclosure into the rack. If the enclosure is being loaded
into the rack above chest level, a third person must assist with aligning the enclosure with the rails
while the other two people support the weight of the enclosure.
7.
Carry out appropriate maintenance tasks.
8.
Slide the enclosure back into the rack and tighten the retaining screws.
