The following outputs are available:
• Two ASI outputs
• Two Ethernet outputs, supporting full-duplex 100 Mb/s and 1 Gb/s operation
Each of the encoder channels in the 9223 can operate in one of two modes:
• ASI/IP Streaming: used in traditional broadcast applications. The encoded bitstream
transmitted over ASI or IP using UDP/RTP protocols, with replication capability.
• OTT Protocols: used for Internet streaming. These include RTMP, HLS and Direct HTTP.
ASI/IP Streaming
For ASI/IP streaming, configuring the 9223 includes the following steps:
Step 1: Configure the encoders.
Step 2: Configure the outputs (ASI or IP).
Step 3: Make connections between inputs and outputs.
The connections between inputs and outputs can be made as part of the input or output
configuration steps. The 9223 supports many-to-many connections.
