5 mm Allen key

13 mm open-ended spanner

1.
Remove legrests.
2.
Remove swinging axle as described in chapter "Replacing/reversing
swinging axle".
3.
Place wooden block approx. 14 cm high under curb climber.
Removing curb climber
1.
Loosen Allen screw (4) and use pipe wrench to pull gas pressure
spring (3) out of holder.
2.
Loosen and remove Allen screw (1) incl. switch lever (2), bearing
sleeve (10), gas pressure spring (3), washer (7) and nut (6). The
gas pressure spring (3) is fixed to the bottom part of the switch
lever (2) with a washer (9) and nut (8).
When disassembling, take care of small parts such as screws
and washers. Put all small parts down so that they can be
reassembled in the right sequence.
Installing curb climber
1.
Install parts in the reverse order.
2.
If necessary, reinstall the support shoe to the curb climber as
described in "Replacing positioning shoe".
3.
Install legrests.
When applying the correct tightening torque to the nut (6),
ensure that the curb climber is seated so that it can move.
5.5.2 Replacing curb climber with park position
CAUTION!
Risk of crushing
Injury hazard to hands. The gas spring is under pressure.
– Take care with your hands.
– Use suitable tools.

17 mm wrench

4 mm Allen key
Removing curb climber
1.
Remove legrests.
2.
Remove swinging axle as described in chapter "Replacing/reversing
swinging axle".
3.
Place a wooden block approx. 14 cm high under curb climber.

Installing curb climber
1.
Remove plastic cap with screwdriver (if fitted).
Loosen and remove screw A and nut B.
2.
Loosen and remove screw E and nut F.
3.
4.
Remove curb climber and replace.
Removing/ Installing curb climber assembly
1.
Remove all four screwsC.
2.
Remove curb climber assembly and replace.
Removing gas pressure spring
Loosen and remove screw screw D and nut A .
1.
Loosen and remove screw B and nut C.
2.
3.
Remove gas pressure spring and replace.
Installing gas pressure spring
1.
Install parts in reverse order.
5.6 Drive components
5.6.1 Preparing replacement of drive components
CAUTION!
Risk of crushing
The mobility device and the seat are very heavy. Risk of
injury to hands and feet caused by uncontrolled tilting
oder other movement.
– Use proper lifting techniques.
– Remove seat and place mobility device upside down so
that the wheels are facing upwards.
– This guarantees mobility device stability during repair
work.
