5.7.7 Repairing a flat rear tire (wheel rim type 8";
3 spoke version)
Tools:
19 mm socket spanner
Flat screwdriver
6 mm Allen key
Tightening kit
Wooden block (approx. 12 x 30 cm for jacking up the
vehicle)
Repair kit for tire repair or a new inner tube
Talcum powder
Removing wheel
1.
Raise mobility device and place wooden blocks under it to
support it.
2.
Remove cap A.
3.
Remove nut B (not visible in picture).
4.
Remove wheel from hub.
Repairing a flat tire
CAUTION!
Risk of explosion
The wheel explodes if the air pressure has not been
released from the wheel before the wheel rim is
removed.
– Always let all the air out of the tire before removing
the rim.

Remove valve cap.
2.
Let air escape completely out of ttire by pressing pin in the
center of valve firmly in.
Remove 6 screws A (reverse side of wheel) using Allen key.

Remove wheel rim halves from wheel.

Remove inner tube from wheel.
6.
Repair inner tube and re-fit it, or replace it with a new one.
If the old inner tube has been repaired and is to be used
again, and became wet during repair, it is easier to replace it
if it is lightly dusted with talcum powder beforehand.
Installation takes place in reverse order. Always make sure
that the wheel is replaced on the same side and in the same
direction as it was removed.
7.
Apply wheel rim halves to wheel again.
8.
Inflate tire a little.
9.
Place cylinder head screws in wheel rim and tighten screws with
8 Nm.
Make sure that inner tube is not clamped between wheel rim
halves.
10. Make sure that tire is contacting wheel rim directly.
11. Inflate tire to the recommended pressure.
12. Make sure that tire is still closely contacting wheel rim.
13. Screw tvalve cap on.
Mounting wheel
CAUTION!
Risk of injury from wheels coming loose
If the drive wheels are insufficiently secured during
mounting, they can come loose when driving.
– When mounting the drive wheels tighten the nuts of
the drive wheels with 80 Nm.
– Always use new nuts with an undamaged coating.
1.
Install wheel.
2.
Insert four new nuts and tighten with 80 Nm.

5.7.8 Repairing rear tire (wheel size 3.00-8")

WARNING!
Injury hazard if the vehicle starts moving
unintentionally during repair work
Switch the power supply off (ON/OFF key).
– Engage the drive.
– Before raising the vehicle, secure the wheels by
blocking them with wedges.
CAUTION!
Risk of crushing to hands and feet by the weight
of the mobility device
– Pay attention to hand and feet.
– Use proper lifting techniques.
Tools:
Torque wrench with
– Allen key-Bit 5 mm
– Torx-Bit R40
Mounting kit
Wooden block (approx.12 x 12x 30 cm for propping
up vehicle)
Repair kit for tire repair or a new inner tube.
Talcum powder
