CAUTION!
Risk of fire and burns if battery terminal is
bypassed
– Take great care to make sure that the battery terminals
are never shorted with tools or mechanical mobility
device parts.
– Make sure that battery terminal caps have been
replaced if you are not working on the battery
terminals.
Tools:

Small flat screwdriver
•
TX40 spanner
•
Allen key 5 mm
•
Wooden block (approx.12 x 12 x 30 cm for propping up
mobility device)
•
Hairdryer
•
Thread locking adhesive, for example Loctite 270
•
Oblique pliers
•
Cable binder
When disassembling, take care of small parts such as screws
and washers. Put all small parts down so that they can be
reassembled in the right sequence.
1.
Remove legrests.
2.
Release seat A and tilt forwards.
3.
Disconnect remote bus cable from power module or ACT.
4.
Lift seat out of the front anchorage and remove it. The seat has a
heavy weight. Use proper lifting techniques.
5.
Remove both battery boxes (see Removing battery boxes, page
30).
6.
Disconnect the motor plug from the power module.
7.
The motor cable is secured inside the frames with cable ties.
Remove cable ties with the oblique pliers.
8.
Place vehicle upside down so that the wheels are facing upwards.
The vehicle has a heavy weight. Use proper lifting techniques.
9.
Remove wheel (see 5.7.1 Replacing drive wheel, page 20).

5.6.3 Replacing motor/ gearbox unit
CAUTION!
Risk of crushing to hands and feet by the weight
of the mobility device
– Pay attention to hand and feet.
– Use proper lifting techniques.

Risk of injury due to uncontrolled movement of
mobility device
– Switch mobility device's power system off (ON-/OFF
key).
– Engage drive motors.
– Secure mobility device against rolling away by placing
wedges under wheels.

– Pay attention to the heavy weight.
Tools:
•
5 mm Allen key
•
10 mm socket wrench
•
13 mm socket wrench
•
Torque wrench 0 – 10 Nm (or similar)
•
Torque wrench 5 – 30 Nm (or similar)
•
Torque wrench 10 – 80 Nm (or similar)
•
Two oblong wooden blocks, at least 14 x 14 x 30 cm
Removing motor/gear box unit
1.
Switch controls OFF on the remote.
2.
Remove the rear battery boxes (see Removing battery boxes,
page 30).
3.
Pull motor plug out of power module.
4.
Open the cable clamps and expose motor cable.
5.
Remove drive wheel (see 5.7.1 Replacing drive wheel, page 20).
6.
Remove wheel hub (see 5.6.7 Replacing drive wheel hub, page 19)
7.
Remove mud guard (see 5.8.1 Replacing mud guard, page 26).
