4 Turn the SELECT dial to select the desired setting option and then press SET.

Selecting an Option from the Monitoring Menu
The monitoring menu appears on the screen of external monitors connected to one of the camera's MON.
terminals or to the HDMI OUT terminal and on the optional EVF-V70 OLED Electronic Viewfinder connected to
the camera's VIDEO terminal. The monitoring menu contains almost all of the camera's settings and can be
operated using the optional viewfinder or an optional RC-V100 Remote Controller connected to the camera
(A 123). For simplicity's sake, the instructions throughout this manual will assume the use of the optional
viewfinder.
EVF button:
Open the monitoring menu. On the RC-V100, press the MENU button instead.
BACK button: Return to the previous menu level without changing the setting. Pressing the button when one of
the icon tabs is highlighted in orange will close the monitoring menu. On the RC-V100, press the
CANCEL button instead.
SELECT dial:
Turn to move the orange selection frame between menu settings/options.
Joystick:
Push the joystick to move the orange selection frame between menu settings/options. On the
RC-V100, press the Up/Down/Left/Right buttons instead. Press the joystick itself to confirm the
selected menu setting/option.
SET button:
Confirm the selected menu setting/option. (In the manual, "Press SET" includes also pressing
the joystick.)
Following is a step-by-step explanation of how to change a setting with the monitoring menu. In the manual,
such instructions will be abbreviated and will omit the closing of the menu. For example, the instruction below
stands for the procedure following it.
[System Setup] (B) > [Language H] > Desired language
1 On the optional viewfinder, press the EVF button. On an optional RC-V100 Remote Controller, press
the MENU button.
• The monitoring menu appears on the screen.
• If you used the EVF button, the [EVF-V70] submenu will appear on the optional viewfinder's screen with the
[Brightness] setting selected. To change other settings, press the BACK button twice to return to the
monitoring menu's top level (with one of the icon tabs highlighted in orange).
2 Push the joystick up/down or turn the SELECT dial to select the desired submenu (in the
