6.9.2 Adjusting the Lower Leg Length

The required footplate position depends on the lower leg length of the user and the thickness of the seat cush­
ion/seating shell/seating system that is used.
Standard/Aluminium footrest
1) Loosen the lower clamping screw (see fig. 21).
2) Adjust the lower leg length (continuously adjustable). The footplate mounting bars must remain inserted in the
guide tube of the footrest holder for a distance of at least 40 mm; otherwise, they can slide out of the guide
tube.
INFORMATION: Verify sufficient ground clearance.
3) Tighten the clamping screw to a torque of 10 Nm.
Footrest for short lower leg lengths
1) Loosen the clamping screws (see fig. 22, item 1/2).
2) Bring the footplate to the desired height by turning (see fig. 22, item 3).
INFORMATION: To make necessary simultaneous adjustments to the footplate angle, see the follow­
ing section.
3) Tighten the clamping screws to a torque of 9 Nm.

Elevating footrest
Elevating footrest (plastic)
1) Loosen the Allen head screw (see fig. 23).
2) Adjust the footplate bar to match the user's lower leg length.
INFORMATION: Ensure that the footplate bar is inserted into the swivel segment by at least 40 mm (to
the marking).
3) Tighten the screws to 6 Nm.
Elevating footrest (metal)
1) Loosen the Allen head screw (see fig. 24, item 1).
2) Adjust the footplate bar to match the user's lower leg length (see fig. 24, item 2).
3) Tighten the screws to 6 Nm.
