12.6.2 Testing Topologies

There are two methods used to run BERT: End-to-End and Loopback. Each is illustrated below. Once the connections are
made, press the start button.
Loopback BERT Test
This test requires a hard loop or
NetProbe 2000 running loopback or a
Reflector.
End-to-End BERT Test
This test is preformed between (2)
NetProbes. Each tester must use the
same pattern.
