Machine Cannot Be Operated

If the following conditions arise while users are operating the machine, provide
instructions on how to deal with them.
Condition
Cannot print using the printer
driver or connect using the
TWAIN driver.
Cannot authenticate using the
TWAIN driver.
Cause
User authentication has been
rejected.
The encryption key specified
in the driver does not match
the machine's driver encryp-
tion key.
The values for SNMPv3 ac-
count, password and encryp-
tion algorithm on the printer
driver do not match the values
set on the machine.
Another user is logging on to
the machine.
Authentication is taking time
because of operating condi-
tions.
Authentication is not possible
while the machine is editing
the address book data.
Authentication Does Not Work Properly
Solution
Enter the login user name and
login password in the printer
driver.
Confirm the user name and
login name with the adminis-
trator of the network in use if
using Windows Authentica-
tion, LDAP Authentication, or
Integration Server Authenti-
cation.
Confirm with the user admin-
istrator if using basic authenti-
cation.
Specify the driver encryption
key registered in the machine.
See p.138 "Driver Encryption
Key".
Make sure settings for
SNMPv3 account, password
and encryption algorithm un-
der the Network Connections
Tool are matched to those on
the machine.
Wait for the user to log off.
Make sure the LDAP server
setting is correct.
Make sure the network set-
tings are correct.
Wait until editing of the ad-
dress book data is complete.
