l Preparations
The preparations are as follows:
Check and record the card type, and make sure that the new card is the same as
à
the original one in type.
Record the cable positions, and check whether the labels on the cables are
à
correct, clear and tidy. If the labels are not visible, make a new label to prevent
any mistakes on connecting cables.
To replace the service cards, perform the following steps:
Steps
1. Wear the antistatic wrist strap, as shown in
Figure A-2 Wear the Antistatic Wrist Strap
2. Remove the cables connected to the switching and control card.
3. Use the screwdriver to unfasten the screws on the card in the anti-clockwise direction.
4. Pull the lever on the card outward to separate the main control card from the back
plane.
5. Grasp the lever and pull the card out along the guide rail steadily, as shown in
A-3.
