Both Fibre Channel switches and hubs may allow individual ports to be
configured for different media types. The router must be connected to the hub or
switch port with the appropriate Fibre Channel cabling for the media type in use.
The router supports various Fibre Channel media types, using external Small
Form Factor Pluggables (SFP).
Available media types use 2.125-Gb Dual SC connectors and include:
