Service Information
DO NOT install or modify the airbag. Any
changes to the vehicle structure or airbag
system wiring harness are strictly prohibited.
Always contact your MG Authorised Repairer if:
• an airbag inflates.
• the front or side of the vehicle is damaged (even if the
corresponding airbag has not inflated).
• any part of an airbag module covers show signs of
deterioration or damage.
The components of the SRS System are sensitive to
electrical and physical interference; it is recommended
that you ALWAYS seek MG Authorised Repairer before
carrying out any of the following:
• Removal or repair of any wiring or component in the
vicinity of the SRS System, including: the steering wheel,
steering column, front seats, fascia and instrument
panel.
• Installation of electronic equipment such as a mobile
phone, two-way radio or in-car entertainment system.
SEATS AND RESTRAINTS
• Attachment of accessories to, or modification of, the
front or side of the vehicle.
• Removal, replacement, or retrimming of a front seat or
seat cover.
IMPORTANT
• The removal or replacement of an airbag module
must be carried out by an MG Authorised Repairer.
• After 10 years from the initial date of registration
(or installation date of a replacement airbag), some
components will need to be replaced by an MG
Authorised Repairer. The appropriate page of the
Warranty and Maintenance Manual must be signed
and stamped once the work has been completed.
