• Do not attempt to push or tow start the car.

Driving

When driving, you should pay attention to the following
points:
• Do not overload or excessively 'rev' the engine.
• Do not stop the engine when the car is in motion with
a gear selected.
• Seek MG Authorised Repairer if you think your car oil
consumption is abnormal.
• If a misfire is suspected, or the car lacks power while
driving, provided the engine has reached its normal
operating temperature, it may be driven SLOWLY (at
risk of DPF damage) to an MG Authorised Repairer or
suitably equipped servicing garage.
• Do not drive on terrain likely to subject the underside
of the car to heavy impacts.
• Allow engine to idle for 10 seconds prior to switching
off.
Note: Any engine misfire, loss of engine performance
or engine run-on, could seriously damage the
DPF. Regular maintenance must be carried out
STARTING AND DRIVING
in accordance with the schedule specified in the
'Warranty and Maintenance Manual'.
