Cutting height crank threads dirty or
require lube.
Rider tires not inflated equally or properly.
Mower not leveled properly.

Ground speed too fast.
Blades are dull.
Mower drive belt slipping because it is oily
or worn,
Blades not properly fastened to arbors,
Engine speed too slow.
Ground speed too fast,
Cutting height set too low.
Underside of mower deck dirty.
Discharge chute jamming with cut grass.
Blade mounting bolts are loose.
Mower blades, arbors, or pulleys are bent.
Mower blades are out of balance.
Belt installed incorrectly.
Idler pulley spring broken or not properly
attached.
Mower drive belt broken.
PTO clutch out of adjustment.
REMEDY
Thoroughly clean and lubricate cutting height crank
with oil.

Cut tall grass at maximum cutting height during first

Remove mower deck and clean underside,
Cut grass with discharge pointing toward previously
cut area,
Tighten to 45-55 ft. Ibs. (61-75 N.m.).
Check and replace as necessary,
Replace or balance blades. See Maintenance
Section,
Reinstall correctly.
FRepairor replace as needed,
Replace drive belt.
Adjust PTO clutch. See Maintenance Section,
