Sweet Shortcrust

150g plain fl our
Pinch of salt
50g caster sugar
75g butter, cut into 2.5cm pieces
1 egg, beaten
• Insert the large chopping blade into the medium work bowl. Add the fl our, salt, sugar
and butter replace the lid and process until the mixture resembles breadcrumbs.
• Remove the small pusher and with the appliance running, gradually pour in the egg
through the small feed tube and process until a ball of dough is formed.
• Wrap the pastry in cling fi lm and refrigerate for 30 minutes before use.
