Messages Displayed When You Use the Copy/
Document Server Function
• If you cannot make copies as you want because of the paper type, paper size or paper capacity
problems, use recommended paper. For details about recommended paper, see page 141
"Recommended Paper Sizes and Types".
Message
"Cannot delete the folder
because it contains files with
passwords. Delete the files
with passwords, or please
contact the file
administrator."
"Cannot display preview of
this page."
"Cannot staple paper of this
size."
"Check paper size."
"Duplex is not available with
this paper size."
"Exceeded the maximum
number of sheets that can be
used. Copying will be
stopped."

Messages Displayed When You Use the Copy/Document Server Function

Causes
The folder cannot be deleted
because it contains a locked
original.
The image data may have
been corrupted.
The Staple function cannot
be used with the paper size
selected.
An irregular paper size is
set.
A paper size not available in
Duplex mode.
The number of pages the
user is permitted to copy has
been exceeded.
Solutions
Unlock the locked original to delete it.

Press [Exit] to display the preview
screen without a thumbnail.
If the selected document contains
several pages, press [Switch] on the
"Display Page" area to change the
page, and then a preview of the next
page will appear.
Select a correct paper size. For details
about paper sizes, see "Specifications
for Finisher", Maintenance and
Specifications.
If you press the [Start] key, the copy
will start using the selected paper.
Select a proper paper size. For details
about paper, see, "Specifications for
the Main Unit", Maintenance and
Specifications.
