FRONTAL VIEW
PART
ON/OFF BUTTON: Use this button to switch the VPR on and off safely (see chapter 3 in this
manual).
The light shows that the device is powered and on.
POWER LED: This shows that the hard disk is in use.

Power switch: Turn to "0" if the device is left off for a long time. Switch to "1" to use the
device.
230 V power socket: Connect the power cord provided to power the device.
Keyboard and mouse connectors: Connect the mouse to the green connector and the
keyboard to the purple connector.
IMPORTANT NOTE
The keyboard is not essential for operating the device because all configurations can be
made using the mouse and the virtual keypad.
The mouse must instead always be connected to the device: Reboot the VPR if the mouse is
accidentally removed.
OUT VGA Video connector: Connect the VGA cord from the monitor (this connection is
only needed to use the VPR in local mode (see chapter 4.1).
IMPORTANT NOTE
The VPR is able to run also without a connected monitor.
USB connectors: Connect a USB drive to backup recordings (as described in chapter 6.6.2)
and/or connect the optional USB/RS-485 interface 1093/106 needed to control PTZ cameras
via the VPR.
