3.3. INSTALLING OPTIONAL UNITS
3.3.1. Printer Interface
A: 2 screws
B: 1 screw
Put back the rear cover first,
then install the brackets [C]
and [D].
C: 2 screws
D: 2 screws
Connect the harness [E] first,
then install the unit [F].
F: 2 hooks, 3 screws
After installing the interface unit, do the following:
•
Connect a printer cable from a PC to the machine.
•
Turn on the machine, and check if the On Line indicator is lit or not.
•
Enter user function 36 and print a setup sheet or a test pattern to check
the controller. (Refer to the Operation Manual for the procedures.)
•
Print a page from the PC to check the parallel interface.
