Reinstall hose and secure with gear
clamp.
Wipe out any coolant spillage on frame
and engine.
Refill coolant tank with 1.8 L (1.9 U.S.
quarts) of recommended coolant. Re-
fer to SPECIFICATIONS for more de-
tails.
Run engine at idle with the coolant
tank cap off. Slowly add additional
coolant if necessary, do not overfill.
With vehicle on a level surface, liquid
is at a proper level when seen through
reservoir cap hole.

Liquid can also be validated using
reservoir level marks (small ribs).

At this point, wait until engine reach-
es normal operating temperature. De-
press the throttle lever two or three
times; then add coolant if necessary.
Install coolant tank cap. Inspect all
connections for leaks.
Properly reinstall all previously re-
moved parts.

Air Filter Housing

Periodically inspect air filter housing
drain tube for liquid or deposits.

NOTE: If vehicle is used in dusty ar-
eas, inspect more frequently than
specified in MAINTENANCE CHART.
If liquid/deposits are found, squeeze
and remove the clamp. Pull drain
tubes out then empty it.
