PREPARING FOR USE
Do not exceed the maximum permissible weight and the maximum permissible axle loads.

Preparing the vehicle for difficult riding conditions

Info
Use of the vehicle under difficult conditions, such as on sand or on wet and muddy surfaces, can lead to considerably more
rapid wear of components such as the drive train, brake system, or suspension components. For this reason, it may be neces-
sary to inspect or replace parts before the next scheduled service.
Seal the air filter box.
Secure the air filter box cover.
Clean the air filter and air filter box.

Check the air filter approx. every 30 minutes.
Additionally secure the rubber grip. (
Check the electrical connector for humidity and corrosion and to ensure it is firmly seated.

If humidity, corrosion, or damage is found:
Clean and dry the connector, or change it if necessary.
Difficult riding conditions are:
Rides on dry sand. (
Rides on wet sand. (
Rides on wet and muddy surfaces. (
Riding at high temperatures and low speeds. (
Rides at low temperature or in snow. (

Warning
Danger of scalding During motorcycle operation, the coolant gets
very hot and is under pressure.
Do not remove the radiator cap, radiator hoses or other cooling
system components when the engine is hot. Allow the engine
and cooling system to cool down. In case of scalding, rinse
immediately with lukewarm water.
