Tap an underlined word.
To accept a spelling suggestion, tap the suggested word.
To add the word to your personal dictionary, tap Add to dictionary.
Edit your personal dictionary
When you use the spell check feature, you can add words that are marked as incorrect to a custom dictionary on your
device so that spell check recognizes them as being correct. The words that you add to your personal dictionary can be
edited at any time.
1.
Swipe down from the top of the screen once using two fingers, or twice using one finger.
2.
Tap
> Language & input > BlackBerry Keyboard Settings > Prediction and correction > Personal dictionary.
3.
Tap a language. To apply the setting to all languages, tap For all languages.

Do any of the following:
• To add a new word to your personal dictionary, tap
.
To edit a word that's already in your personal dictionary, tap the word.
• To delete a word from your personal dictionary, tap the word, and then tap
Edit the restricted word list
The words in the restricted list are never used to correct your typing.
1.
Swipe down from the top of the screen once using two fingers, or twice using one finger.
2.
Tap
> Language & input > BlackBerry Keyboard Settings > Prediction and correction > Restricted words.
3.
Do any of the following:
• To add a new word to the restricted list, tap
To delete a word from the restricted list, tap and hold the word, and then tap Delete.

Creating custom text shortcuts

The word substitution feature lets you create your own text shortcuts. When you set up a shortcut, your device replaces the
shortcut with a word or phrase.
Note: Word substitution is also known as autotext.
